Journey to Becoming an Accessible Employer

Common Obstacles and Ways to Mitigate Them

Description

We know that many entrepreneurs in BC want to do the right thing, create more accessible workplaces, and reach more persons with disabilities as customers and staff. But what does the data say regarding real-life obstacles to achieving this? And what have some BC-based business owners done to overcome these real-life obstacles?

Join Leni Goggins (Inclusion Powell River Society) and Marco Pasqua (Meaningful Access Consulting) as they share valuable information and insight. Leni is the Project Manager of the New Inclusive Economy project and will present the top ten obstacles to workplace accessibility that their province-wide research has pinpointed. Marco is a speaker, entrepreneur, and accessibility consultant who identifies as living with Cerebral Palsy.
