Workplace Accessibility Resources

We gratefully acknowledge the financial support of the Province of British Columbia through the Ministry of Social Development and Poverty Reduction.

A more accessible BC starts here. Welcome to SBBC’s Workplace Accessibility Resources – a hub for small business owners to improve inclusivity. Did you know that small businesses employ 43 percent of all BC workers, while one in five working-aged British Columbians live with a disability?

On this page, you’ll find articles, checklists, and resources to help you at any stage of your accessibility journey. Explore the benefits that creating an accessible workplace can have on your business and your community. SBBC is on this journey alongside you. Learn about the steps we’re taking in our Accessibility Plan.

SBBC recognizes that language use is an important part of creating inclusive spaces. To honour both person-first language preferences and identity-first preferences, we have alternated between the two within the resources found on this page.
