Corporate Summary Request
Service Description
In British Columbia, you are required to submit two copies of a company summary if you are initiating legal proceedings against them in Small Claims Court. Even if you know the location where the company carries on business, it’s not necessarily their registered office. To find this information, you’ll need to perform a corporate search to obtain a company summary. The registered office address is listed on the company summary and is the one you will put on the notice of claim. The corporate summary also lists the names and addresses of the company’s directors. This document can be obtained in person from Small Business BC or by phone and email. Retain your receipt as the cost of the search can be added to your claim.
