Hadih! (Hello)

My name is Brianna, I am Nak’azdli from the Dakelh Nation and I belong to the Lusilyoo clan.

I was born and raised in the beautiful Coast Salish territory of the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh Nations, commonly known today as Vancouver, BC.

Today, I’m fortunate to live in Haida Territory on the beautiful archipelago of Haida Gwaii.

I come from an entrepreneurial family and grew up watching both my parents run their own businesses. My entrepreneurial journey began with lemonade stands and selling holly during the Christmas season on my neighbourhood corner. Along my journey, I worked for various small businesses and opened up a coffee shop in Vancouver with my dad. I spent some time studying marketing and have utilized the skills I developed in school, as well as along my journey, to bring me to where I am now.

For the past two years I have had the privilege of being the Indigenous Business Development Services Program Coordinator. During my time here, I have seen IBDS go through numerous changes as we navigate the best ways to bring training and support to Indigenous entrepreneurs in British Columbia. The focus of IBDS has always been to create opportunity and expand entrepreneurial resources through services and programming.

I am grateful for the opportunity to expand IBDS to be a top resource for Indigenous entrepreneurs in BC. As Indigenous Peoples, we have always been hardworking and business focused and we will continue to adapt and thrive in anything we put our minds too.

I would love to connect with you, please reach out - [email protected]

Snachailya (thank you) for stopping by!
