Jen is a proud Swampy Cree from Pimicikamak Cree Nation. Her traditional name is White Thunder Rock Woman. Jen is a daughter, sister, mother and a proud Kookum to her two grandsons Landyn and Aries.

Jen moved to Vancouver 5 years ago for a role at Vancity Credit Union in the Indigenous Partnership Department. She is currently supporting the Commercial Drive Community Branch as an Account Manager. She is also a part of the Indigenous Employee Resource Group and the Indigenous Lending Team.  Prior to Vancity, Jen was part of First Nations banking teams at First Nations Bank of Canada and Aboriginal Financial Institution in Winnipeg and Saskatoon.

One of Jen’s passions is to assist Indigenous entrepreneurs start up and follow through with their dreams of owning their own business. She understands the role many institutions played in the colonization of Indigenous people, including financial institutions. Jen’s compassion, empathy and love for her people aims to make banking a positive experience for her members.
