Debbie Smollett is currently the Executive Director, Small Business Branch, B.C. Ministry of Jobs, Economic Development and Innovation. Debbie sits on the Board as the appointed provincial government representative.  Debbie’s career with the public service spans over 15 years, with more than 10 years in senior management roles, leading a diverse range of projects and multi-disciplinary teams.

In 2021, Debbie joined the Small Business Branch in the Ministry of Jobs, Economic Development and Innovation. Debbie and the SBB team engage with public and private sector organizations to deliver programs, tools, training and information to support the success of the small business sector.  Debbie’s group also leads the overall secretariat function for the Small Business Roundtable, an advisory body comprised of senior business leaders across the province who facilitate dialogue between government and the small business sector to identify key issues and opportunities facing small businesses.
