Interested in a Tofino Coworking Space?

Known for its rugged natural beauty and world class surfing, Tofino has long been considered a ‘must-visit’ on Vancouver Island’s pristine west coast. In the coming months, this picturesque village could take a leap into the 21st century with the creation of a potential Tofino coworking space.

The Tofino-Long Beach Chamber of Commerce is collaborating with British Columbia coworking pioneer The Network Hub and innovation hub consultants Thrive Junction to test interest and demand with a crowd-sourced survey you can participate in.

What is Coworking?

Coworking offers a structured, office-like environment where an individual can go and work among like-minded people. It fosters all of the autonomy an entrepreneur could want, without any of the drawbacks usually associated with office life. We’ve previously listed 6 Benefits of Coworking Spaces.

Take the Survey

Tofino is currently asking those interested to fill out the following feasibility survey to gauge interest and demand. The results will be written into a report and shared with the public. This survey can be taken any time until June 15, 2018.

“Our town is thriving and looking for ways to innovate and diversify our local economy while supporting businesses, residents and visitors already here,” said Josie Osborne, District of Tofino mayor.

“Opening a coworking space would help bring in a different business and creative population to complement Tofino’s already popular reputation. We want to be known as a place to not only explore nature, but also work within nature. I encourage everyone to fill out the survey to shed further light on what their needs are to progress from idea to commercialization.”
