Navigating Employment Law Concerns as a Small Business

Employees are key to growing a business. Building the right employer-employee relationships can ensure a sustainable and long-running business. Whether you’re looking to hire your first employee or to refresh your knowledge, join the Workplace team at Miller Titerle for this informative session on staying compliant with employment laws in BC and following best practices when creating employment contracts and handling terminations.

  • An overview of BC's BC's employment laws including the Employment Standards Act and the Human Rights Code

  • The basics of an employment contract

  • How to handle employee termination of an employee

  • Common employment pitfalls and how to avoid them

This session is delivered online via Zoom. A few tips to note:

  • Registration closes 2 hours before the session start time.
  • You will receive the Zoom link for the webinar twice: 24 hours before the start time and 1 hour before.
  • Missed the live session? No problem. All registrants will receive access to the recording for seven days after the live session.
