Introduction to Incoterms® 2020 for New Exporters
How to Reduce Risk and Clarify International Shipping Responsibilities
Description
One of the first challenges that new exporters face is shipping products outside of Canada. Whether selling individual items through an e-commerce site or shipping containers of product to international customers, companies must have a firm understanding of Incoterms® and how they are used.
Incoterms® are a globally recognized set of international commercial terms used by Sellers and Buyers to clarify the obligations, transfer of risk and costs related to shipping a product across international borders. Using the terms can greatly simplify contracts but some terms present more risk and higher costs than others and as such are important to understand.
This 90-minute webinar, presented by Export Navigator, will provide new exporters with the best practices around negotiating shipping contracts and using the current set of Incoterms®, which were released in 2020.
