The Self-Employment Training (SET) Program for Young Entrepreneurs Program is an initiative funded by the Government of Canada through the Canada-BC Workforce Development Agreement to empower eligible young adults between 18 and 29 in their process for self-employment / business start-up in Metro Vancouver. Youth BiiS provides free business coaching for young adults.

Eligibility requirements

  • Young adults between 17-29
  • Canadian citizens, permanent residents and protected persons living in Metro Vancouver
  • Unemployed
  • Underemployed or self-employed (20hr/week or less)
  • Not actively participating in or receiving financial supports from another provincially- or federally-funded labour market program
  • Not enrolled in high school or in post-secondary training
