Mary Charleson is a marketing educator, speaker and strategist. She is president of Charleson Communications, a marketing consulting company she founded in 1991, and Five Minute Marketing, a wealth of marketing education resources. She holds an MBA in marketing, and has taught at NYIT, City University of Seattle, University Canada West and currently serves as Department Head Marketing at Sprott-Shaw Degree College.
Mary has consulted for many private companies, government associations and non profit groups including: Vancity, 7-11 Canada, Finning, YMCA, Vancouver Playhouse, Vancouver Opera, Tourism Vancouver, North Vancouver School District, and Canwest Media. Since 2002 she has been a marketing columnist for Business in Vancouver. Her writing has also appeared in Marketing Magazine, Strategy Magazine, and the Toronto Star. Her book Five-Minute Marketing, was published in 2010. Mary is a member of CAPS (Canadian Association of Professional Speakers), and speaks regularly at business groups and conventions on marketing.
