Business Impact Award

Tell Us Your Story. What motivated you to start your business? Why are you passionate about what you do?

I left home rather young & raised myself, put myself thru school. I also worked for myself, as nobody would hire me at 13. In the beginning, I more washed cars & basic detailing. Self taught. Over time, I learned more & got better & better for detailing vehicles & trucks & more. During that same time, I also taught myself how to restore & polish metals of all kinds. Aluminum stainless brass copper steel. As years went by, I found my best niche & what I exactly wanted to do. Fast track a few decades, I became a foster parent to 3 boys & also full time single parent to my own son. The oldest foster boy took quite an interest in the polishing & so I've taught him the trade over the past decade. A few years ago his younger brother joined us & even my youngest works thru summer months. We are much more than just a polishing shop though. We treat everyone of our clients like they are family. A bday card or msg, Christmas etc. Lots of contests & different interactive things. Then, we do alot of volunteering from neighborhood cleanups to Christmas toy drives to various fundraisers. We've heard thru the years that why haven't we signed up for this as we deserve to be recognized. Saw the link in the email & here we are. For some reason our social media pages are not loading on your site

Describe and demonstrate, including metrics, your community support. How do you support and uplift your community, and how do they show that support in return? Minimum 25 words, maximum 2500 characters.

Anything from volunteering for community clean ups to fundraising events, toy drives, to even more personal and helping ppl on the fly and least expecting

Why do you deserve to win the Business Impact award?

I believe we deserve this, as we strive to be the best we can be in every way & it would really boost all the boys up alot & confirm that they are doing things right. As well, we've heard many ppl suggest this to us.

Tell Us About Your Culture. How are you creating a sustainable and healthy workplace where everyone feels welcome? Provide examples of leadership you show in interactions with clients, vendors, contractors, staff and others.

Interactions with clients, vendors etc are treated like good friends in a way as that just seems to be what works for us. Not formal, yet very respectful. Good morning good afternoon thank you please the key words needed. Further, information! We communicate thoroughly about our service & what to expect and also maintenance. Then we let our workmanship sit with them for a few days & follow up with a call. The reviews written & also how busy we are speaks volumes.
