Ever since starting the business in 2014, UCMAS Richmond has been consistently striving ahead in the mission to enrich the lives of children in the BC Community. In this journey, the company's efforts have been regularly recognized and bestowed with several accolades. - Young Liu came 3rd in the world at the recently concluded 2023 World Flash Competition in Malaysia & 3 other students won awards & will be representing Canada at the International Math Competition in India December 2024 - Highest number of awards (19) won by any centre in the world (amongst 6000) in the first ever Global Online Open Math Challenge 2020 - Brynelle Tesalona ranked 3rd in 2019 in the World Listening competition & Anna Lee won the Champion trophy Visual Math competition in Cambodia - Beatrice Antoni-Ching became the first ever Champion in the Visual Math competition in Malaysia 2018 - Petra Dmitrovic ranked 2nd in 2017 in the World Listening Competition in Malaysia - 2 Years in a row, Canadian National Listening Champion Lexi Ong 2018 National Champion Brynelle Tesalona 2019 National Champion - Rishikesh Upath was the first ever Baccalaureate in North America to Graduate as “Baccalaureate with Distinction”, followed by Erin Ching & Lexi Ong - Only Centre in North America with Baccalaureate Graduation record The above accomplishments have been possible only with the quality education provided by the instructors and with the on-going support from the parents, to ensure that every child benefits. We have also won the “Best Tutor” award for 7 consecutive years, which is vindication of the support we have from the community, with more than 500 children currently registered in the program in BC. The UCMAS methodology enables children aged 5-13 years to perform mental math calculations quickly & accurately and expand their brain capacity and develop skills such as multi-tasking, time management, memory, concentration and problem solving - skills that are crucial to the success in daily life.

At UCMAS BC, our journey began with a profound belief in the limitless potential of every child. Being a Woman Owned business, our motivation to start this business in 2014 was driven by a deep desire to equip children with essential cognitive skills that go beyond traditional academics. Witnessing the transformative power of mental math and abacus training, we were inspired to bring UCMAS to British Columbia, providing a unique, brain-boosting program that enhances concentration, memory, and overall mental agility. Our passion lies in seeing children flourish, building their confidence and academic excellence. Each success story fuels our commitment, as we witness firsthand the incredible impact of our program on young minds. We are dedicated to creating a nurturing environment where every child can unlock their full potential and develop skills that will serve them throughout their lives. This unwavering passion for empowering children through education is what drives us every day at UCMAS BC.

At UCMAS BC, our commitment to community support is at the core of our mission. We believe in creating a positive impact that extends beyond our classrooms, reaching into the broader community to foster growth, development, and support. Being a Woman Owned business we have a deep understanding & empathize with mothers (& dads) in our communities with the sole aim of developing children who are the future leaders of our communities. Our primary community support initiatives include: Free Workshops and Seminars: We regularly conduct free workshops and seminars for parents, teachers, and students in the community. These events focus on the importance of math & cognitive development. Community Partnerships: We actively collaborate with local schools, to extend our reach. By partnering with these entities, we provide access to our programs and resources, ensuring that a broader segment of the community benefits from our expertise. Our partnerships have led to the successful integration of our programs as we have students from more than 70+ schools , impacting over 500 students annually. Volunteer Programs: Our team members regularly volunteer their time and skills to support community events & educational fairs. This hands-on involvement not only strengthens our ties with the community but also fosters a culture of giving back among our staff and students. Local Competitions and Events: We organize local mental math competitions, creating platforms for students to showcase their skills and gain recognition. These events bring together families, educators, and community leaders, fostering a sense of unity and collective achievement. Metrics of Our Impact: Over 500 students benefit from our programs annually. Thousands of individuals have attended our free workshops and seminars. Our local competitions and events draw participation from hundreds of students and their families each year. Our volunteer initiatives have contributed hundreds of hours to community service. Community Support in Return: The support we receive from the community is a testament to the value and impact of our initiatives. We receive numerous testimonials from parents and educators praising the positive changes they see in their children and students.
