SWR Drain Services

Surrey, Mainland/Southwest

For more than five decades, SWR has earned a reputation for hard work, fair dealings, and a pursuit of excellence. Growing from humble beginnings, the SWR journey began in 1970 when John Kubus started a small drain cleaning company. Since those early days, SWR has grown to be one of the Lower Mainland’s most respected family-run firms, offering services in plumbing, drainage, relining, and excavation, and many specialized services for various customer needs. SWR is guided by the second-generation leadership, Joseph Kubus, who continues to embrace the industry’s innovation that has propelled us forward over the decades. Our company has earned a reputation for hard work, fair dealings, and a pursuit of excellence. We deliver what we promise and strive to do the right things every time by making our customers’ life better. We actively participate in the Surrey and White Rock community by providing employment opportunities to new immigrants from India, Ukraine, and South Africa. We have welcomed them into our team, offering training in Canadian plumbing and drainage standards, assisting them with English language skills, and supporting them in finding accommodation and obtaining their BC driver's licenses. Additionally, we are proud to have an Indigenous employee who enriches our team with sharing his knowledge and assisting the team to gain a deeper understanding of Indigenous history, cultures, and the significance of Truth and Reconciliation. We take pride in our multicultural and diverse team, celebrating and acknowledging a wide range of cultural events, including Christmas, Diwali, and Thanksgiving. These acknowledgments provide opportunities for team members to share their cultural heritage, fostering a workplace environment where knowledge and respect flourish. By embracing cultural diversity, SWR believes we can eliminate intolerance and build a more inclusive community and workforce. We also offer trade experience opportunities to Surrey High School summer students, they will learn and mentored in all aspects of team environment, plumbing, and mechanical field. We honour seniors and veterans by giving discounts on our services, a small gesture of gratitude for their genuine contributions to our community. We support the KidStart Charity program for youth who are at risk of experiencing difficulties in their lives through initiatives like our annual Polar Bear Swim Fundraising at Crescent Beach.
