Stone + Sable Collections is a sole proprietorship business which takes pride in their unique hand-made products. Using primarily just the fine powder of cement, Stone + Sable handcrafts a variety of products including planters, candles, dishes, decor, and more. The primary focus is put on individuality + uniqueness. We aspire for conversation pieces, products that tell a tale of hard work and dedication. Our first inspirations came from an industrial look, where many of our grey, black, and brown colours were formed. However, we also provide a large range of decor, especially nursery decor in pastel colours like Perfectly Pink and Ocean Blue. Our mission as a small business is to stay as eco-friendly as possible, reusing and recycling packaging materials, utilizing the best quality ingredients, and encouraging our customers to reuse our products as well (for example, we offer candle refills for a very discounted price!). We also believe it is crucial to spend money where it will be put back into our local economy, and to consciously support families by supporting small businesses instead of large corporations when possible. We are very conscious of the quality product we provide for our customers, being sure that our candles are paraben and phthalate free, and our products are durable. Why do you think you should win the Premier’s People’s Choice Award?
At Stone + Sable Collections, we strive for complete customer satisfaction with every order we make. Each product is a unique one-of-a-kind conversation piece. Our products are hand-made from scratch with the finest care and attention to detail. It is also of utmost importance to us that the products we use are safe for our customers which is why our candles are only poured with all natural soy wax, free of parabens and phthalates. As a small business owner, every order counts, and we will ensure that each order is prepared as diligently as any hand-made product should be.

How have you optimized your e-commerce store to create a strong user experience for your community, (through content, education, reviews etc.) and what results have you achieved?
We want it to be easy to find us, to trust us, and to connect with us. For these reasons, we have created a website that is user-friendly and provides a vast amount of payment options so everyone can check-out with ease. You can also find our social accounts on our website. We love connecting with our customers, and you can learn more about how our products are made! Our social platforms, Instagram and Facebook, provide insight into what it all entails running a small business. We like to keep it 'real' on our social platforms, and so we share a little bit about all of the ups and downs, the process, exciting updates, new retail locations, and so so much more! As a follower, you'll feel closer than my next-door-neighbor :) It's important to trust the price of the product, and understand why a product amounts to the cost it does - this is why we consistently post feed on the entire product manufacturing process, packaging, and how often things go 'right' or 'wrong.' Close to half of our online sales originate from our social platforms, proving the importance of showing up consistently and building trust via background information, logistics, etc. Reviews from our dear customers can be viewed straight from our social platform Instagram in the story highlights, or there is also direct access from our social platforms to our Etsy page for my exclusive Etsy reviews.
