Kuzina Messer Culinaire offers Culinary Cooking Classes in the Kamloops area, taught by a highly experienced and certified Red Seal Professional Chef. Whether you're an at home cook, someone with no experience, a group of friends, a family, or a team, our highly trained professional chef is here to guide you toward expanding your culinary knowledge while having fun in the kitchen. We also offer a variety of different classes for kids ages 7 to 17; from after school programs to summer camps, our classes will have your child learning life skills in a fun and welcoming environment. Our cooking classes teach students new cultural foods from around the world! Kuzina Messer Culinaire's goal is to provide home chefs and kids with the tips & tricks they need to feel more confident & adventurous in their kitchens! Kuzina Messer Culinaire has helped Kamloops residents learn how to cook new dishes and create lasting memories. Outside of the culinary classroom, we offer internationally inspired catering services for all of your event needs. At Kuzina Messer Culinaire, we understand the importance of creating memorable experiences through food. Our catering services are tailored to suit your specific needs, whether it's a corporate event, wedding, or private gathering. What motivated you to start your business and what is your vision for the future of the company?
Kuzina Messer Culinaire was founded our chef who was born and raised in the harsh slums of the Philippines. Their passion for food and cultural cuisines was influenced by the traditional dishes of their homeland. After leaving their impoverished and prejudiced surroundings, the chef found a home in Kamloops. They noticed that one thing was missing from what the city had to offer: cooking classes. They realized that they had the skills and experience to address this need, and they founded Kuzina Messer Culinaire. The chef's vision was to provide individuals of all ages with the opportunity to further their culinary skills while also enjoying delicious food. They wanted to empower people to feel confident in their kitchens. They also wanted to create a fun and inclusive environment where everyone feels welcome. Since opening its doors, Kuzina Messer Culinaire has had a positive impact on the Kamloops community. Our chef has offered a safe space for 2SLGBTQIA+ youth to learn new cooking skills. They have also helped neurodivergent children develop confidence in new skills. In addition, they have expanded culinary horizons for adults by teaching different cultural dishes from around the world. Our chef's hope is to expand their services to more individuals in the Kamloops community. Our goal is to grow Kuzina Messer Culinaire so that we can offer their services on a more regular basis and to secure a space of our own to offer classes. Our vision is to create a place where anyone of any age can feel welcome and learn new culinary skills in a fun and supportive environment.
Why do you deserve to win the Best Youth Entrepreneur Award?
Our chef started Kuzina Messer Culinaire at the age of 27 after working in the culinary industry for over 12 years. In those 12 years, despite being highly successful, they struggled with racism and discrimination in the culinary landscape. They wanted to create a safe and inclusive space for people to learn and grow, so despite their relative lack of experience in owning their own business, they worked hard to start Kuzina Messer Culinaire. Over the less than two years that Kuzina Messer Culinaire has been in business, and despite all of the barriers that they faced, our chef has managed to create a thriving small business that still has plenty potential to grow. Kuzina Messer Culinaire has a growing loyal clientele of people of all ages, and they offer a variety of innovative cooking classes that are both educational and fun. Kuzina Messer Culinaire is an innovative and impactful small business that has made a difference in the Kamloops community with a founder who is still under the age of 30! Our chef's passion for food and their commitment to creating a welcoming and inclusive environment have inspired and empowered people of all ages. Our chef has grown Kuzina Messer Culinaire from a business with little to no clients and financial instability to a business that is now thriving with clients of all ages that are ever growing and the means to be financially successful in today's harsh economic climate. Kuzina Messer Culinaire has now expanded to offer internationally inspired catering services as well as asian influenced baked goods. Our chef has grown Kuzina Messer Culinaire to be more than what they originally had intended and cannot wait to see what the future holds. Kuzina Messer Culinaire deserves to win the Best Youth Entrepreneur Award because we have a demonstrated track record of success having grown a business from nothing to a strong and successful business that is well known in our local community.
