I started Kenny and Co, an online wedding signage business, back in 2021 during the middle of the COVID 19 pandemic. While this wasn't the best time to start a wedding based business, I was determined to create something out of my passion! I opened an Etsy shop and after seeing the demand that our products had on that platform, I launched our own website just months later. With over 26,000 sales, we are still growing and expanding our product offerings for couples located in Canada, the USA and Australia!

What motivated you to start your business and what is your vision for the future of the company?
When my daughter was a few months old, I found myself having lots of time to fill. With my husband being an RN, I'm alone a lot! I started creating wedding signs with my Mom for local weddings in the Kelowna area. When we opened our shop, we were blown away with the demand and support for our business.
Why do you deserve to win the Best Youth Entrepreneur Award?
I deserved to win the Best Youth Entrepreneur Award because for as long as I can remember I have been an entrepreneur! I started working and making money for myself since I turned 12 years old. In High School, I was shooting weddings professionally. I continued photographing weddings all throughout college and graduated with my Bachelor of Business with a major in Finance in 2019. After working a corporate job, I knew the 9-5 wasn't for me. Anyone who owns a business will tell you that you will work MUCH more than 9-5 for yourself, and I absolutely love it! I've created multiple businesses to support myself and my family. During the last 3 years of running KENNY + CO, I have had/raised two children and worked extremely hard to get to over 26,000 sales. I do feel that I am very deserving of this award and have accomplished a lot for my age!
