Tell Us Your Story. What motivated you to start your business? Why are you passionate about what you do?

The company was started in 2015 by Bob Graham and Pouyan Taghipour joined in 2016. Bob previously founded www.airwavesmusic.ca, which was a national music and event company that was later sold. Previous experience was in marketing and sales based roles. Also a self-taught software engineer. While he was managing is DJ business, he noticed there wasn't a single software that met his needs, and as a self-taught engineer, he started building one focussing on events/sales. Bob met Pouyan later at a tech networking event and the rest is history. When Pouyan joined on, they really started to focus on the CRM element and develop their vision of providing a modern, all-in-one solution for hospitality. Having come from an events background, he knew exactly what he was looking for. Event Temple is a B2B SaaS CRM for the Hotel Industry that help hotels organize their meetings, events and corporate contracts. We focus on the hospitality industry - specifically the technology sector. Our scalable enterprise software is ideal for hotels with no meeting spaces looking to grow their RevPAR, all the way to entire hotel chains. Event Temple helps drive revenue growth while boosting efficiency and productivity by providing properties with a suite of sales tools including prospecting and lead management, e-proposals and contracts, event management and more, all in a sleek, intuitive platform. We replace legacy systems that are inefficient, outdated, and too expensive that don’t keep up with the modern demands of hospitality and events today.

Event Temple's purpose is to help people with great character thrive so they can others and their community.  That doesn't only mean their clients, but anyone that ET interacts with - vendors/partners/staff/friends and family. It's in ET's DNA that any interaction we have whether it be a sales deal, a partnership call, or simply even a support email - that strive to build a community that helps other like minded individuals succeed in their lives. We've won the HotelTechReport awards in 2 categories, 4 years in a row (2021,2022, 2023, and 2024). This is a solely user-based voting system and our clients rally for us every single year - this alone is a testament to what ET is trying to achieve.

Why do you deserve to win the Business Impact award?

Since covid, the hospitality industry has one through a sort of mini 'industrial revolution'. Most hotels had internal facelifts, whether it be a whole change over in staffing, renovations, tech overhauls, a considerable change to operational procedures, not to mention the traveling habits of people and how events are now done - it was a transformative time. Not only does Event Temple strive to stay on top of all these changes, we aim to get ahead and innovate and lead the way for hoteliers to have a system that will adapt and change with them. We want to be partners to hoteliers to continue to develop, educate, and advocate for effective tech in their properties and how to generate ROI by leverage Event Temple. Event Temple is creating a next generation hotel sales CRM. Our unique offerings include: -cloud first approach -enable our customer’s customers to book meeting space online using our proprietary “storefront” technology (disrupting the traditional process of customers having to call and email the hotel’s sales team) -digital signature and payments technology (enable customers to close deals faster) -deep integrations with other hotel-based software (didn’t exist before Event Temple) -deep integration with other tools the hotel’s staff use (email integration, calendar sync, etc) Most of the solutions may do some, but not all. We believe that we can impact our clients and partners and set the new standard of hospitality tech.

Event Temple has the mentality of: If our clients succeed, we succeed, and if we succeed, you succeed. We compare our team to a sports team entering the playoffs - everyone has a role, and we're trying to win - but we're also have a blast doing it.
