Driven by a shared passion for beauty and community, Brittany and Loni embarked on their entrepreneurial journey by founding Collective Beauty. Beginning their careers in the beauty industry at the tender ages of 17 and 18, their dream was to create a salon space that transcends traditional beauty services. Their vision was to craft a welcoming sanctuary where clients could not only indulge in pampering treatments but also engage in meaningful conversations in the company of like-minded individuals. From the outset, giving back to the community was ingrained in the fabric of their business ethos. With a firm belief in the power of unity over rivalry, Brittany and Loni prioritize collaboration and mutual support over competition. Their commitment to community outreach is evident in their collaborations with numerous small businesses in the area, reflecting their dedication to creating a thriving and interconnected local network. Brittany and Loni also love giving back to the beauty industry and are proud to offer an amazing mentoring program for new stylists looking to make it in this tough industry. Collective Beauty Studio has been dedicated to contributing to various causes and will continue to support the following initiatives: 1. Wigs for Kids BC: As the main charitable recipient, Collective Beauty has been actively involved in supporting Wigs for Kids BC. The studio has organized two significant Cut-A-Thons in the past five years, which collectively raised over $200,000 for BC Children's Hospital. Through these fundraising events, Collective Beauty has helped make a meaningful impact on the lives of children in need. 2. Local PAC Fundraisers: In addition to supporting Wigs for Kids BC, Collective Beauty also donates to all local Parent Advisory Council (PAC) fundraisers. By extending their generosity to these community-driven initiatives, the studio continues to play a vital role in supporting various causes and events within the local area. Collective Beauty was founded in 2019, 9 months before Covid hit and was shocked and scared at the impact that this would have on the world and our small business in which we have worked so hard for. We had numerous clients throughout that tough time offer to pay our lease for us so that we would be able to open our doors again. Luckily, that was not needed but the genuine support from our community was so heartwarming and gave us the motivation to carry on.
