What motivated you to start your business and what is your vision for the future of the company?

I started my business because of a lifelong struggle with multiple skin issues and serious health concerns, ranging from persistent eczema to relentless acne. My journey took a drastic turn when, at the age of 21, I was diagnosed with stage 4 endometriosis—a condition that profoundly changed my life. For nearly a decade, I endured debilitating pain, knowing that maintaining a traditional 9-to-5 job was nearly impossible for me. The frequency of sick days I would need would surely lead to job instability. The turning point came when I finally received a proper diagnosis, which allowed me to undergo surgery. Since then, I’ve been fortunate to experience a 90% reduction in pain, and that newfound relief sparked a deep desire to transform my small home-based business into something much more significant. With this vision in mind, I took the leap and opened a commercial space. Today, I am proud to say that I have three talented estheticians and a skilled acupuncturist working alongside me. My passion for holistic healing, which played a crucial role in my recovery, has deeply influenced the services we offer. However, my love for medical esthetics is just as strong. Recently, we made a substantial investment in an Aerolase laser machine—a cutting-edge tool that represents a significant milestone for my business. The cost of this machine is equivalent to purchasing two Lexus cars, but I’m thrilled about the potential it holds for our clients. Looking ahead, my goal is to continue expanding my team and eventually grow into multiple locations across Canada. I envision not only running these businesses but also training and mentoring others, distributing our unique approach to esthetics and holistic care far and wide. The journey has been challenging, but I’m excited about the future and the opportunities it holds.

Why do you deserve to win the Best Youth Entrepreneur Award?

My business officially opened its doors just two years ago in April 2022, when I was only 21 years old. In that short time, I’ve made incredible strides in the industry. Today, I am honored to be named the KRX Aesthetics and Zena Cosmetics Trainer and Distributor for British Columbia, as well as Lira Clinical's Trainer and Distributor for BC, Alberta, Manitoba, Ontario, and Quebec. In addition to these roles, I have the privilege of mentoring many estheticians who run their own businesses, both in the Lower Mainland and across Canada. Sharing my knowledge and expertise with others is something I’m deeply passionate about. I love seeing these businesses grow and thrive just as mine has. Several industry representatives have even told me that I’m on the path to becoming the next community leader in Canada’s esthetics industry. This recognition means the world to me because I understand firsthand the challenges of building a business from the ground up. My goal is to empower those around me, helping them overcome obstacles and achieve success. Knowing that I can make a difference in the lives of others is something I hold very close to my heart. 2 years in and we are just getting started.
