Business Impact Award

Tell Us Your Story. What motivated you to start your business? Why are you passionate about what you do?

I entered the world of photography at age of 17. The more I learned about the science and art of visual capture, the more I became enthralled in learning as much as possible; not only in the discipline of photography but also in the fields of video and 360 virtual reality. Using imagery as a creative tool to bring about positive change and enlighten both the general public as well as client-specific ventures has always appealed to me. The evolution of knowledge that I gain, in my industry as well as my client's industries, has propelled my creativity beyond the current status quo and into discovering and pioneering advances in technology in order to lead the next phase of visual evolution. Creating something "new" and being acknowledged for it's intrinsic value goes far beyond receiving a paycheck.

Describe and demonstrate, including metrics, your community support. How do you support and uplift your community, and how do they show that support in return? Minimum 25 words, maximum 2500 characters.

My proprietary 360 VR mico-Mapping projects benefits my community (and others); from the tourism industry to Real Estate. All it takes is one look at www.SunshineCoast360.com to grasp the expansive opportunities that this tech presents to many industries throughout the community. They show their support through perpetual licensing use of the product.

Why do you deserve to win the Business Impact award?

What I am doing (in the 360 VR Space) is opening new frontiers, globally, in an otherwise saturated world of marketing stills and video imagery. This relatively new, disruptive technology, is proving to enhance the competitiveness of various local businesses from Real Estate to yacht sales and charters. As a trusted leader in the Photography arena in Canada, instilling my knowledge of new technologies into existing business structures only further drives the competitive forces of my clients.

Tell Us About Your Culture. How are you creating a sustainable and healthy workplace where everyone feels welcome? Provide examples of leadership you show in interactions with clients, vendors, contractors, staff and others.

As my proprietary technology evolves, I openly embrace the inclusion of any and all people who show an advanced level of technical know-how when it comes to capturing drone and 360 VR imagery as well as computer programming. As I continue to demonstrate the features and benefits of the technology to my clients, the early adopters have understood and trusted that what I am doing, as an industry leader, is of benefit not only to them specifically but to their respective industries as well.

People's Choice

Why do you think you should win the Premier’s People’s Choice Award?

I'm doing something relatively new here. I've been a successful Photographer for over 39 years. This longevity obviously leads to advancements in knowledge; from technology to business infrastructure awareness. My disruptive (360 VR) technology can only be further enhanced by awareness through avenues such as your Business Impact Award. Through this acknowledgement, the rest of the world will come to know that British Columbia, Canada has a talent pool that runs beyond just the Gaming and Motion Picture industries.
