Please tell us your personal story and about your business. How you started, and how you have overcome challenges.
I’m Rancy, the cofounder of HiChant Communications , former archery athlete and a temporary roommate of a lovely extrovert cat. I came to Canada for higher education 10 years ago and before that I’ve already worked as TV host and journalist for years. By that time, I thought my whole life is about being a media person, exploring people’s story and report to everyone. After I change my career as PR consultant incidentally，I found that theirs a long steps to go before people ready to share their story to public and especially for multicultural communities ,there’s a huge needs of helps for people/company on how to talk with their target audience in a way that sensitive to their culture. So the HiChant Communications is founded and we are now helping more than 50 clients to reach their target around the world and engaged with millions audiences in past 5 years.

As a first generation immigrant, me and my partners/colleagues/clients working together, support each others and built a specific niche business market through this happy journey from the past 5 years and will keep going forward and bring more values for Local and all communities

What motivated you to start your business and what is your vision for the future of your company?
What accompanying me for all my life is I enjoyed to team up with peoples and make our values 1 plus 1 bigger than 2. My first job is working as a Kids DJ and correspondent of UNICEF China when I'm 7 years old and just can't stop working because I can get to learn for a living and help people to understand complex issues. That's the reason why I found HiChant communications, and what I'm continuously going to worked on in future.
Why do you deserve to win the Best Youth Entrepreneur award?
For the last five years, I've been offering the services to a wide range of clients in and around the world. I help client to achieve their goal from 0 to 1. Start from 2018, I've pointed to becomes guest speaker and Mentor for many event/program and looking forward to continuously contribute to our community in upcoming 2021.
