Best Immigrant Entrepreneur
Please tell us your personal story and about your business. How you started, and how you have overcome challenges.
As stated, I immigrated to Canada in 1986 and started again from scratch. I put myself through school to become a certified gas fitter and worked with a few companies before starting my own company in 1999. As an immigrant there are always barriers at first, language, customs. perception etc. I feel that I have adapted well and am truly thankful to be a Canadian citizen, bringing up my children here and investing in the local economy by being a small business owner.
Why do you deserve to win the Best Immigrant Entrepreneur award?
We believe BC Wide Home Services Ltd. should win this award due to our consistent effort to provide excellent customer service to the people of the Lower Mainland. Over the years we have employed and supported several new immigrants to Canada helping them acclimatize and start their new lives here in Canada. We feel it is extremely important to give back to the country that welcomed us with open arms all those years ago and are committed to being of service to all Canadians going forward.
