Jasmine Marchand

Jasmine has over 20 years of Human Resources experience in the Hospitality and Tourism sector in Canada. She served as the Director of Human Resources at Parq Vancouver from 2014 to 2019, where she excelled in HR strategy, recruiting, training, labor relations, and performance management. Jasmine holds a Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) designation since 2008, a Bachelor of Hospitality Management from VCC, and a Human Resources Management Certificate from the British Columbia Institute of Technology.

During her tenure at Parq Vancouver, Jasmine led the bargaining committee in 2018 with Unifor and oversaw the expansion with JW Marriott hotels. She worked in leadership roles with Marriott hotels from 2003 to 2014. Jasmine established Diversity & Inclusion hiring standards for Parq Vancouver, influencing the culture of the entire resort, which included 2000 employees across Hotel, Food and Beverage, and Casino sectors. She pioneered Canada’s first Community Benefits Agreement initiative at Parq Vancouver to enhance the hiring of under-represented groups, including people with disabilities and residents of Vancouver’s downtown east side.

Jasmine received the BC Workplace Inclusion Awards for Diversity & Inclusion – Leadership Champion, recognizing her efforts to increase employment opportunities for disadvantaged groups. From 2020 to 2023, she was a key contributor to developing recruitment and retention recommendations for Accessibility Standards Canada to support The Accessible Canada Act.

In 2019, Jasmine joined BC Partners in Workforce Innovation (BC WiN) to assist employers in increasing workforce inclusion for people with disabilities through recruitment, retention, training, and advisory services. The success led to the expansion of the initiative in 2024 to Canadian Partners in Workforce Innovation (CAN WiN), where she serves as an Inclusive Workforce Specialist.
