Gary has forged a reputation as an international franchising leader. He was the first non-US citizen to be appointed Chairman of the Board for the International Franchise Association (IFA), and in 2009 was inducted into the IFA Hall of Fame alongside luminaries Ray Kroc of McDonald’s, Fred de Luca of Subway and Conrad Hilton of Hilton Hotels, to name a few.
In 2009, Gary was also inducted into the American Society of Travel Agents (ASTA) Hall of Fame. This award is the highest honour that ASTA presents to individuals and he joined a prestigious group of past winners, including animation legend Walt Disney and hotelier JW Marriott Jr.
In 2016, Gary’s CPG was also recognized with the Canadian Franchise Association’s (CFA) Hall of Fame Award.
