October 2, 2018 – Vancouver: Small Business Week has been celebrated across Canada since 1981. It is a time to recognize the contributions entrepreneurs and small business owners make toward the economy and our local communities. It is also an occasion to draw attention to the organizations and groups that help small business owners with programs and resources.

To celebrate, Small Business BC, the province’s premier resource for entrepreneurs, and the B.C. Government have partnered to offer the Small Business Week Free Services Plan. This program allows entrepreneurs and small business owners in BC free access to all Small Business BC seminars, webinars and Talk to an Expert sessions happening between October 15, 2018 and October 19, 2018.

There are currently over 396,100 small businesses operating in BC, representing 98 per cent of all business in the province. Small Business BC encourages these entrepreneurs and ones thinking about starting or growing their business to take full advantage of the Small Business Week Free Services Plan during the month of October.
