In today’s content-driven world, understanding copyright law is becoming more essential to business. Whether you are an entrepreneur who produces original works (such as artwork, music, social media content, software) or uses work produced by others, copyright law applies to you. Join us for this informative session to learn the basics of copyright and common concerns for small businesses. You will learn how the law can protect your original work and how you can avoid infringing on others’ copyrights.

This free session is hosted in celebration of World Intellectual Property Day, in collaboration with Oyen Wiggs Green & Mutala LLP

  • Fair dealing and fair use in copyright law

  • Concerns about using AI-generated works

  • Concerns around suing and getting sued for copyright infringement

This session is delivered online via Zoom. A few tips to note:
