Emelle's Catering

For over 20 years, Emelle’s Catering has been a culinary fixture in Vancouver’s bustling Mount Pleasant neighborhood. As a testament to their success, earlier this year, Emelle’s Catering became the first ever business to scoop two Small Business BC Awards in one night, winning the Best Marketer and Best Employer Award.

Thai Roots

Before Mild dived into the world of entrepreneurship, she worked a desk job at a bank. During regular trips back to Thailand, she saw the opportunity to turn her love of Thai food into a business. She started small, importing delicious coconut chips after discovering her network of friends loved them, and couldn’t find them in Canada. Years later, she now has two food businesses: Thai Roots Trading and Wela Progressive Health Bar.
