Financing for Indigenous Small Business

Discover Lending Options for Indigenous Entrepreneurs

Description

Across Canada, it’s estimated Indigenous-owned businesses contribute $32 billion annually to our economy. This figure, while seeming outwardly impressive, hides the true potential of what an Indigenous economy could be. Many Indigenous entrepreneurs face ongoing challenges in securing finance and getting their start-up business off the ground. The good news is, there are a growing number of lending options available.

This webinar is designed to help Indigenous entrepreneurs navigate business banking options and discover business loans and financing options tailored toward their business needs. Discover what you need to know before applying for financial help, what type of financing is available, how to open a business account, and how to apply for specific loans.

Join Jen Turner, proud Swampy Cree from Pimicikamak Cree Nation, Karen Gray from Manitoba’s Cree ancestry and Tara Lamond, all representatives of Vancity Credit Union to learn more about small business banking essentials for aboriginal businesses.

What Will I Learn?

  • Discover business loans and lending options available for indigenous entrepreneurs

  • Introduction to choosing a financial institution and how you can open a business account

  • Understand what to consider before seeking financial help

  • Overview of the business loan application process and what documents you need

This webinar will take place via Zoom. Instructions to join our Zoom meeting will be sent to you two hours in advance.
