Getting To Know You
Where did you grow up?
I grew up in Brantford, Ontario which is known for being Birthplace of Wayne Gretzky and nothing else.
What’s your favourite place in BC?
Its hard to choose between the mountains and the ocean, but if I must pick one then Sombrio Beach on Vancouver Island.
What’s your favourite small business in BC?
Hidden Village Surfcraft (www.hiddenvillagesurfcraft.com) is a surfboard shaper making custom surfboards specifically for waves in the North West. They also conduct 1-on-1 surfboard shaping lessons – where they help you shape the board of your dreams. It is a wonderful small business run by a good friend of mine who happens to be an amazing artisan.
What’s your favourite pastime?
I like to spend my free time outside surfing and skiing, or inside reading and crafting.
What’s the best thing about working at SBBC?
Small Business BC allows me to work with a diverse group of people who are passionate about what they do – both the staff and clients are a joy to work with.
