Cherise McGee, Market Manager of the Langley Community Farmers Market, has been working in the Market and Trade Show industry in some capacity or another for over 20 years. She started at her families business as a CSR at Levy Show Service at 2001 assisting in the set up and take-down of Trade Shows in Vancouver. In 2012 she started her own family business with her husband and in three years received numerous recognitions, including one of three finalists for Woman of the year in Innovation and one of three finalists for New Business of the Year. When the opportunity came to work for the local Farmers Market she jumped at the opportunity. She has found her passion in Farmers Markets, which merges her skills sustainable living and entrepreneurship. Cherise believes that Farmers Markets bring together entire communities and it is the role of Market Organizers to bring everyone together.
Cherise has recently completed the Market Manger Certification Program from the BC Farmers Market Association and Whole Green Heart and has a BBA from Kwantlen Polytechnic University. She also facilitates preservation workshops in her spare time and has recently started a canning editorial for a local magazine called Urbanique published by Blackpress.
