Due to the rapidly evolving public health situation surrounding COVID-19, Small Business BC has reached the difficult decision to modify how we deliver our services in the coming weeks.
As an organization, our number one priority will always be the health and safety of our clients, staff and service providers. We also want to ensure we maintain the high service standards our clients expect. As such, we will be delivering all our services online, or over the phone, until further notice. Please use our COVID-19 small business resources – including this practical checklist for business continuity.
Below is an outline of how our various services will be modified to ensure the safety and well-being of our staff, community and speakers.
In an attempt to play our part in helping to #FlattenTheCurve, Small Business BC’s office is now closed to the public. We want to reassure clients our services are all still available remotely via phone or email. Our staff are working remotely from home, and are standing by to assist in this challenging time. As the situation surrounding COVID-19 moves rapidly, we will reassess this policy on May 1st.
Beginning today, all our seminars will now be delivered online via webinar. All attendees will have access to a webinar recording, which you can watch at your convenience for the next seven days.
Our webinars are hosted through Adobe Connect. If you’ve never attended an Adobe Connect webinar before, there are some quick steps to take to ensure you’re ready to go when you access the webinar. Our Talk to an Expert program connects small business owners with specialist business advisors across a range of expertise. Our experts will be available for their usual appointments over the phone.
Small Business BC provides business registration services for small business owners in British Columbia who need assistance registering a business name. This service will be exclusively available over the phone.
Whether you’re looking to file or replace business documents, or you need a corporate summary document for a legal proceeding, the Small Business BC team is available to assist over the phone and provide the corporate search documents by email.
Whether you’re looking for start-up information, resources or have other general questions, our FREE 30-minute advisory session can answer your business queries, determine if you’re a fit for one of our services, or help point you in the right direction. This service will be available over the phone, with expected wait times for an appointment of approximately two weeks.
