Welcome to the Small Business BC Blog!

One of the biggest things we advocate at Small Business BC is learning through the experiences of others; having a mentor or someone to turn to who understands the barriers and challenges of self-employment.  Our website offers tons of articles with business information and loads of entrepreneurial success stories, but we really wanted to add another piece, one that shows self-employment from the perspective of the entrepreneur experiencing it.

Straight from the mouths of entrepreneurs

Hearing directly from entrepreneurs as they face the daily challenges of running a business can really give you a greater understanding and appreciation for those who choose to take this path. When you say the word “business” usually thoughts of paperwork, transactions and sales pitches come to mind, but self-employment is so much more than that. It’s full of new challenges that push you to your limits, daily emotional ups and downs, and most likely, the hardest work you’ll ever do in your life. By launching this blog we’re giving a voice to those many business owners who wish to share their experiences and their expertise to help others succeed.

Make your voice heard

We’re inviting entrepreneurs to come forward as guest bloggers to share their knowledge and write about important topics that have impacted them as business owners. If you read through this blog and feel that you have something to contribute, we would love to hear from you. Become a blogger. Otherwise, read, enjoy, and share with others.
