Hello! We're Monika and Robyn, founders of Mint Cleaning in Ucluelet, BC. We met in 2017 at a Mom group. Friendship at first sight, business partners the following day. We started a cleaning company that became an overnight success quickly servicing almost 50 properties. After suffering from the harmful effects of harsh cleaning chemicals, we wanted to switch over to safer, eco-friendly products. As professional cleaners we know what is required to get the job done right. We started to experiment with some of our own recipes and formulated a cleaning line that is both effective and safe to use in your home. Ranging from Cleaning products such as All Purpose Cleaner, Floor Wash, Dish Soap, Laundry products to home and body products such as Bath Soak, Body Balm, Shower Steamers, and cleaning tools. We prioritize using natural plant-based ingredients, pure essential oils, and of course a lot of blood, sweat, (a few tears) and LOVE in every product. Our sleek glass bottles not only look beautiful on your counter, but are also refillable and offered in bulk saving on the use of single use plastics and waste. Excitingly, we've recently opened our first flagship Mint Retail Store, where customers can explore the complete Mint-branded product range. The storefront is in the same building as where we make our products, so the customers can see in real time their products being made (similar to buying chocolate at a chocolate store, or Beer from a brewery). You can find Mint Cleaning Products in over 200 stores across Canada as well as a thriving e-commerce store where customers can shop and order online.

Why do you think you should win the Premier’s People’s Choice Award?
Winning the Small Business BC People's Choice Award would be an incredible honor for us. We are more than just products, we have built an amazing community and team that have been the heart of our success. With over 72,000 Instagram followers, the community we have built is not just about using our products but also about embracing a healthier, cleaner lifestyle. We regularly share educational content, fun cleaning tips and tricks, and DIY recipes, fostering a sense of belonging and support among our followers. Our flagship store, recently opened, allows us to deepen these connections and be even more involved in our local community. Our commitment to giving back is unwavering. We are proud to support local initiatives such as our local food bank, local sports teams, various fundraisers and we are extremely proud to partner with Mamas for Mamas by donating products to 3 of their locations. Being from a small town, we understand the importance of community support, and we strive to make a positive impact wherever we can. Our contributions are a small way to express our gratitude for the community that has supported us from the beginning. At Mint Cleaning, we are more than just a business. We are a team of cheerful, dedicated individuals who are passionate about creating a positive work environment. Our dedication to our mission and community is reflected in everything we do. From offering safer cleaning alternatives to building a supportive and engaged community, we are committed to making a difference.
