Best Youth Entrepreneur

What motivated you to start your business and what is your vision for the future of the company?

The motivation behind starting Coffee Craze Company came from my love of coffee and desire to create an opportunity for myself to expand my creativity, knowledge and understanding of the world of business. Starting a business was a major learning experience and a journey to say the least. I wanted to begin a business to gain experience in the world of business but most importantly share these amazing blends that I was able to create. I didn’t know where this journey would take me or even if it would succeed, but it did. I was passionate and determined and even through tough times, I persevered through. When I began my business, I saw that many people didn’t take me seriously, but that’s been a part of the reason I constantly push myself into growing my business and achieving each goal I set for myself. Since the start of Coffee Craze Company, it’s been a crazy adventure. I chose to take a leap and start a business out of passion of coffee and seeing it beyond a simple product. I have learned so many skills since starting a business, from website creation, marketing, content creation, brand design, finances and so much more. The future of Coffee Craze Company involves expanding my product line, the most recent being working on creating a coffee recipe book filled with original recipes I am continuing to create. I plan to continue to work with more local businesses, stores, and gift giving companies. In the far future I see this online coffee shop turning into a local cafe!

Why do you deserve to win the Best Youth Entrepreneur Award?

My name is Aevin Kumar, owner of Coffee Craze Company. I began my small business when I was in high school at 16 years old, when I began to develop my love for coffee. I learned more about different types of coffee, tried different brew methods, got to know more about the history behind coffee and much more. I was interested in the world of business and wanted to learn more after taking several classes, I didn’t know where this journey would take me but as running any business, it’s an adventure. My love for coffee and my interest in business, pushed me to start, I was nervous and scared but took a risk and went for it and it payed off. This was the number one way for me to learn, through hands on experience, taking risks and trying new things. Each day running my business I learn something new and it’s amazing to see my own growth and my businesses. The start of the business I launched 2 coffee products, now I have a complete collection offering classic roasts and grinds. I have grown to sell my products across Canada and grow an amazing coffee community. And if all goes well, I plan on launching a coffee recipe book before the end of this year with enhancing my love for coffee and sharing original recipes I created. There are many people who may underestimate me because of my age or level of experience but I am ready to take on new challenges. I had many people question my abilities and skills as I grew my business, I have received threats when it came building my business, people who wanted to see me fail. I pushed through it all, and even when business may be slow, I remember the excitement and passion I have for what I do. I want to hopefully inspire and be able to share my story with fellow youth entrepreneurs and aspiring entrepreneurs to not give up or lose hope during the tough times in business.
