We believe that wellness is a key component of any successful workplace, and we aim to make wellness personalized, cost-effective, and fun for everyone through our app. Our app is designed to make wellness accessible to everyone, regardless of where they are in their journey. With our fun challenges, perks, and community features, we make it easy for employees to prioritize their health and wellness in a way that fits their unique needs and preferences. At myMomentum, we understand that every employee is different, and that's why we offer a range of personalized content, tailored to each individual's goals and needs. Our cost-effective solution is also designed to help companies experience more for less. Tell Us Your Story. What motivated you to start your business? Why are you passionate about what you do?

Our Founder & CEO, Anna Chan, knows firsthand the toll that workplace burnout can take on one’s physical and emotional health. In 2015, Anna left her job in Asia, and took a gap year to rediscover her purpose, eventually finding her way to being a spin instructor. During this time, she recognized that there was a lot of lingo regarding what a wellness journey “should” look like, but didn’t agree with the one-size-fits-all solution that was floating around in the industry. Instead, she resonated more with the idea of “Connect” and “Discover”, two key pillars to myMomentum’s unique approach to wellness today. Connecting with yourself and each other during the journey, and discovering your own journey and new motivations along the way. We started as a B2C app, driven by our passion for empowering individuals to redefine wellness and making the journey fun. However, as we grew, we realized that there was a lack of personalized and affordable wellness resources for employees, which inspired us to shift our direction to an app that provides people-first companies with an easy and cost-effective way to show their care for their employees' well-being. With our cost-effective app, employees can improve their mental, physical, and emotional health while having fun in the process. Our app is designed to be personalized to each individual user's needs, making it a truly unique and effective tool for improving workplace wellness. Wellness is a key component of any successful workplace, and we are passionate about making wellness accessible to everyone. We have seen firsthand the positive impact that personalized wellness programs can have on employees' health, productivity, and job satisfaction. By providing a cost-effective and personalized wellness solution, we are empowering employees to take control of their own wellness journeys and redefine what wellness means to them. This approach has resonated with our users and helped myMomentum become a trusted resource for wellness. As a startup ourselves, we understand the challenges that come with starting and growing a business. That's why we offer small businesses under 5 employees free pilots to our app, giving them access to our personalized wellness programs. We believe that supporting small businesses is one of the few ways we can give back to the entrepreneurial ecosystem.

Describe and demonstrate, including metrics, your community support. How do you support and uplift your community, and how do they show that support in return? Minimum 25 words, maximum 2500 characters.

We are committed to supporting and uplifting our community through our wellness app. Our community support has been a key part of our success so far, and we are proud to have helped over 5000 people to date find their momentum towards a healthier lifestyle. One way we support our community is by helping consumer-packaged-goods brands gain brand awareness. We have worked with 250 brands to date, many of which we have supported for free. By featuring these brands on our app, we are helping to spread the word about their products and services to our users, who are highly engaged in wellness and health. We also partner with community organizations to make finding momentum more fun for our users. To date, we have partnered with over 25 community partners, such as Fjallraven and Lululemon. By working with these partners, we are able to offer our users a wider range of wellness activities and events, and connect them with other like-minded individuals in their local community. In March, we are excited to pilot our corporate app to 20+ SMEs. This app will help employees of these companies to stay motivated and healthy in the workplace, and will also provide valuable data and insights to the companies themselves. By supporting the wellness of employees, we believe we can help to create happier, healthier workplaces and ultimately, more productive businesses. Our community has shown their support in return in a number of ways. We have received numerous positive reviews and testimonials from users who have found success in achieving their wellness goals using our app. To demonstrate our impact, we track a number of key metrics, such as user engagement, brand impressions, and app downloads. We also regularly survey our users to understand their experience with our app and how we can continue to improve. At myMomentum, we are committed to supporting and uplifting our community through our wellness app. We have helped thousands of people find their momentum, worked with hundreds of brands, and partnered with dozens of community organizations. We are excited to continue expanding our impact and helping even more people achieve their wellness goals.

For instance, we have collaborated with other businesses in our WeWork community to organize wellness events and workshops that promote overall wellness and bring people together. Additionally, we have partnered with CPGs to offer their products and services through our app, providing a platform for their growth and exposure. At the heart of our business lies our mission to help individuals find their momentum and achieve their wellness goals. We understand that physical and emotional wellness is a journey, and we are committed to supporting our clients every step of the way. Our personalized wellness plans cater to the unique needs and goals of each individual, providing them with the tools they need to succeed. With our app, we aim to create a community of individuals who are committed to their wellness journey and support each other in achieving their goals. Finally, we recognize the importance of community and connection, especially in these challenging times as we emerge from the pandemic. Therefore, we host community events that bring people together to connect and share their experiences. These events promote social wellness and provide an opportunity for individuals to learn and grow from each other. At myMomentum, we are a fully remote, global team that still prioritizes in-person social events when possible. We believe that creating a sense of community and connection is essential to building a healthy and sustainable workplace, even in a virtual environment. Our employees are encouraged to pursue their potential, while also taking well-deserved breaks to maintain a healthy work-life balance. We have a 'Find Your Momentum' internship program that allows interns to take full ownership over their tasks and lead their own projects. We believe that providing space for interns to grow and develop their skills is essential to their success and our own. We encourage interns to ask questions, seek support, and take on new challenges, while also ensuring that they feel supported and empowered in their work. These individuals have been with us since the beginning, and have seen us grow and evolve over time. They are committed to their wellness journey, and they trust us to provide them with the tools they need to succeed. Their unwavering support has been the driving force behind our success. We have users from all around, and we are thrilled to have garnered more attention from our first activation in Toronto this past year. This has allowed us to expand our reach and connect with even more individuals who are looking for a personalized approach to wellness. It's incredibly humbling to know that our app has resonated with people from all backgrounds, and we are committed to continuing to serve our community to the best of our abilities.
