Hello! We are Monika and Robyn, founders of Mint Cleaning located in Ucluelet, BC. We met at a Mom group in 2016, it was friendship at first sight and business partners the following day. We started a cleaning company that became an overnight success with a full team servicing vacation rentals, residential and commercial cleans. After suffering from the harmful effects of harsh cleaning chemicals, we wanted to switch over to safer, eco-friendly products. As professional cleaners we know what is required to get the job done right. We started to experiment with some of our own recipes and formulated a cleaning line that is both effective and safe to use in your home. Our products are handmade in small batches with the highest quality ingredients that optimize results while being eco-friendly, all-natural and non-toxic. We are so honoured to be nominated for this award amongst so many amazing talented small businesses in BC.

Why do you think you should win the Premier’s People’s Choice Award?
We are on a mission to reinvent the "cleaning wheel" to make it more fun and light hearted. So many of us feel overwhelmed with the never ending daunting house work. We love to provide fun tips and tricks to make this seem less like a struggle. So many people are suffering from using toxic cleaning chemicals without even knowing it. We love to educate our community about the harmful effects of these toxic chemicials and offer alternatives by either using our products or sharing DIY recipes. We have formulated an entire line of toxic free, safe cleaning products that are scented with pure essential oils that will not only make cleaning more enjoyable but will improve your health at the same time! We are passionate about giving back. Whether donating to disaster relief or local charities. We are so proud supply Mamas for Mamas locations with Mint Cleaning Products to help families obtain with the safe home cleaning products they need. After running a very busy cleaning company or over 5 years we know all the cleaning tips tricks in the book. We love to share our expertise while hopefully making you laugh a little bit in the process.

How have you optimized your e-commerce store to create a strong user experience for your community, (through content, education, reviews etc.) and what results have you achieved?
Not only do we sell our products on our website, but we also offer free cleaning tips and tricks, blog posts, free printable PDF's and videos. It is a one stop shop cleaning bonanza! We are so proud to be women owned representing the West Coast of Vancouver Island. We absolutely love engaging with our community through our instagram page. With close to 30k followers, we are able to inspire and promote ways to live a more sustainable and eco friendly lifestyle. our ecommerce site and social media platforms allow us to expand to a wide audience of like minded individuals who share our core values and beliefs.
Why do you deserve to win the E-commerce Experience Award?
To be honest, this is a difficult question to answer. We are so proud to be sharing this space with so many amazing and deserving small businesses. Just to be nominated for this award is such and honour that we be so grateful to win. Winning this award would allow us to spread our message of non toxic cleaning and living to a wider audience...and with a few bragging points to boot (wink).
