Our dog, Maui, is a big part of our life so we decided to start a bubble tea cafe and name it after her. The logo for Maui’s Teahouse is also her face. We built our business from scratch and to serve our customers with our premium products.

Tell Us Your Story. What motivated you to start your business? Why are you passionate about what you do?

How It All started , Goals and Dreams! Business owner at age 23 when I started my tire shop business in Richmond B.C. I always had dreams and goals where I wanted to be in the future. Our dog, Maui, is a big part of our life so we decided to start a bubble tea cafe and name it after her. The logo for Maui’s Teahouse is also her face. We built our business from scratch and making connections to Taiwan to serve our customers with our premium products. It’s been huge success and couldn’t have done it without my wife , she is my backbone on making big moves and risk taken.

Small businesses are the backbone of our country. There are so many ways small businesses benefit the community, we create jobs for locals, they encourage economic growth. We know sometimes the struggle to compete with the big brands and to stand out among the crowd can seem almost impossible. But we succeed.

Why do you deserve to win the Business Impact award?

One of the reasons why I deserve this award is because of my passion,visionary and drive. Me and my wife put in long hours and days working on our business plan. we wanted to make it very creative which our dog came in mind for name and logo,

Acknowledge customers as soon as they walk in the door. If you can, address them by name and to make customers feel welcome is smile.Thank each customers at the end of a transaction or communication. Let them know you value their business and that you want to see them again.
