M.A.D was founded in 2020 with one goal in mind, to take those daunting tasks off a business owner's back so they can focus on what they do best! M.A.D Designs and Bookkeeping also offers small businesses with a wide variety of graphic designs services. From full branding packages, to designing marketing material; we can do it all!

Best Youth Entrepreneur
What motivated you to start your business and what is your vision for the future of the company?
A lot motivated me to start my business back in 2020, but the main reason was to be able to help other young, determined entrepreneurs to succeed by helping them with their financials. I noticed that a lot of the younger business owners did not have the education or patience to learn how to accurately keep their books/file their government remittances. I wanted to take my extensive education and training and put it to great use; and also allowing me the flexibility of working for myself. My vision for the future of my business is to take on a younger, determined individual to learn all things bookkeeping to be able to provide Kamloops, BC with more reliable bookkeeping services.
Why do you deserve to win the Best Youth Entrepreneur Award?
In a world filled with so many amazing young entrepreneurs it is hard to compare to others, however I truly believe I deserve to win the Best Youth Entrepreneur award because... My journey, starting after losing my job during layoffs at the beginning of Covid-19 has been brave from the get-go. I had extensive training, amazing mentors, but being only 25 wasn't aware of my personal self-esteem. Bravery and support however pushed me out of my comfort zone to pursue entrepreneurship; and my raw, organic journey has made me more appreciative. What sets me apart from a lot of other entrepreneurs is my ambition, my attention to details, my care for others and my deep passion to help other entrepreneurs succeed. I believe in community and lifting others up. When the community succeeds as a whole, we all do better! My clients and mentees, always comment on how thorough, caring, helping, and meticulous my work is. Nothing drives me more than helping others and passing on what I have learned.
