From small-town, BC, Kaslo Sourdough produces gourmet sourdough pastas and sourdough breads that you can feel good about sharing with family and friends. Kaslo Sourdough is a family owned and operated sourdough food manufacturing company. We produce a variety of sourdough pastas and sourdough breads perfect for health-conscious customers, made from high quality grains that are sourced from mainly Canada. Using the ancient technology of fermentation – newly applied to pasta – Kaslo Sourdough has developed an entirely new functional food. The company is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, and its 10th anniversary for the invention of sourdough pasta. We are proud to employ Kaslo local individuals and families, and support Canadian farmers. Our products are available in stores across Canada and online across North America.

We think there are three great reasons for why Kaslo Sourdough should win this award! 1. We make amazing products that you love! The Premier's People's Choice Award recognizes a company that makes amazing products that people love, enjoy and support. We think we fit. Since starting baking sourdough breads in 1993, through to innovating and making our gourmet sourdough pastas, we know from testimonials and people who road trip to Kaslo to meet us, that we make amazing products. And we love what we do! One of our core beliefs is that good food should bring good people together. It's our ten year anniversary for making our sourdough pastas and our thirty year anniversary for making sourdough breads, and we'd love to celebrate with our sourdough lovers out there through recognition with this Award. Show us some love and celebrate sourdough fermentation with your vote! 2. You know that sourdough is cool! Sourdough fermentation is an old technology that we've given priority to for our 30 years of sourdough bread baking, and that we've given new life to with our invention of making sourdough pastas so that they too, can share some of the health benefits of being fermented. We value good quality ingredients, consistent production, and doing deep research to support why fermentation is worth the extra effort for landing delicious and nutritious products. We talk the talk and walk the walk, and our principles and values have remained consistent since our parents started the business 30 years ago. This is something that you recognize is a part of what sets our company apart. 3. We are the best example of the kind of business you want to see flourish in B.C. Kaslo Sourdough started as a one-man business 30 years ago. It grew to two to support a family and three kids, then grew to support two families, then three and more. Today, Kaso Sourdough is a thriving, small-town B.C. business that employs 13 people in a community of about 1000 people. We are a second-generation, family-owned and operated business, and we know the value of keeping dollars in our communities. We are proud to be an inclusive employer with a diverse staff across our administrative and manufacturing operations.
