What motivated you to start your business and what is your vision for the future of the company?

I started teaching teen spin when Kspin first opened in 2017. Fast forward 3 years and a global pandemic hits. I had just graduated high school and had no real sense of where I was headed. The previous owner of Kspin had decided to go back to school and the conversations about buying in to this amazing buisness started to happen. I always wanted to be my own boss and fitness has been my life since I could walk. I became part owner of Kspin in 2021 at 20 years old and have never looked back. I have been dreaming of ways to grow Kspin and I can’t wait for the future. My plans for Kspins futures include trademarking our name and opening more. Starting in Prince George, hopefully opening one in the next year. When you walk through the doors at Kspin everyone feels welcome. I want to give that experience in multiple community’s across BC and give people the oppurtunity to sweat wherever Kspin goes.

Why do you deserve to win the Best Youth Entrepreneur Award?

My buisness deserves to win this award because of hard our employees work and the great atmosphere we give to people.I believe our team truly is the best and the fact that they show up 110 percent every single day. Our buisness gives something unique and adds joy to people’s lives when they are at their lowest. We offer not only a great sweat but a lending hand when sometimes you dot feel like showing up for yourself. I’m always here for you, our team is here for you, kpsin is here for you.

Why do you think you should win the Premier’s People’s Choice Award?

Winning the Premier’s People’s Choice Award is more than just winning for myself, it is also a win for our team. It shows that the hard work I put in everyday to guide our team and riders to become their strongest selves is continuously paying off. I believe that I should win this award because of the drive I have to include Kspin in all things community and make our name something that Kamloops can be proud of. My team motivates me everyday to make Kspin something bigger than myself. Starting at such a young age has shown me that you do learn as you go and there is always ways to better yourself. That is why I believe I should win this award.
