The Blue Jay Bistro

Quesnel, Cariboo

The Blue Jay Bistro was founded in 2021, and is located in Alex Fraser Park (rodeo grounds) in Quesnel BC. It's a seasonal take out restaurant, that has also created a memorial fund to help support local youth programs as well as animal rescue and rehabilitation projects. The owner, Ashley, is a strong community advocate, and uses great food to bring people together in support of the community. The Bistro is named for her dad, who passed away in 2011 at the age of 45. She aims to create a legacy with her business that brings people from all walks of life together in support of each other and important causes. The Blue Jay Bistro was also nominated for 3 awards, Customer Service, New Business of the Year, and Social Leadership for the Quesnel & District Business Excellence Awards in 2021. The North Cariboo Gymkhana Society also recognized The Blue Jay Bistro's contributions to their club by creating a memorial award called the Blue Jay Memorial Award, which recognizes parents for their involvement in the club.
