We're Simply Benefits, a 100% digital third-party payer that provides employee health benefits insurance across Canada. We created three unique platforms for advisors, employers (admins), and employees so they can each manage their individual employee benefits needs on a secure, user-friendly platform. All three platforms are connected so that advisors can onboard their clients, employers (admins) can onboard and manage their employees, and employees can manage and utilize their health benefits without leaving their Simply Benefits platform.

What motivated you to start your business, what challenges did you overcome?

Our CEO, Jeff Cox, has been an employee benefits advisor for 15 years. After spending over a decade frustrated by the lack of innovation and digital options in the industry, he set out to make a change. Simply Benefits was born in August of 2018 with a mission to completely digitize the onboarding and employee benefits management experience from advisor to employee. In order to bring this mission to life, we created three platforms for advisors, employers (admins), and employees. Each platform includes unique features that offer helpful solutions for the user. Now, advisors can onboard their clients in days versus weeks, employers (admins) have more authority over their employees’ benefits management, and employees can easily access and utilize their health benefits.

Our product not only allows advisors to manage more clients, but small (and large) businesses can spend less time managing their employees’ benefits, and employees can spend more time getting healthy.
