In Business Since 2013
Best Community Impact
What motivated you to start your business and what core cause do you support?
In August 2013, I founded a License Not Required (LNR) childcare program to provide learning and social interactions for my two young children. As other children joined, I observed the vast benefits of small intimate group childcare, and began working towards my Early Childhood Education Diploma (ECE). In May 2016, Bouncing Babies & Toddling Tots (BB&TT) became a Licensed Family Childcare (FCC) program. I completed my ECE in December 2018 and revised my license to a Multi-Age (MA) Group program commencing in February 2019. The core of my business is to provide quality early years education to the children of my community through a blend of Montessori and Reggio inspired theories. My sole purpose is to contribute to our future generations to be independent, strong, self-starters who aren’t daunted by life’s inevitable challenges, giving them the strength and self-confidence to face them. Every child in my program are loved and nurtured as if they were my own, I care about them, their families and their future.
Why do you deserve to win the Best Community Impact award?
I am humbled and honoured for this nomination. I care and want to make a difference. The work I do with each child sets them up for future success. I focus on independence, self-esteem, social skills and problem solving, and academia. Graduated children leave BB&TT’s program fully prepared for a successful kindergarten transition and year, with numeracy and literacy understandings and the ability to create and foster new friendships. These skills are their foundation in which they will rely on for the rest of their lives. It is so very crucial to provide children with a full set of tools they can use. Families are able to return to work with peace of mind knowing that their children are well cared for, and they too can continue to contribute to our communities through their own work.
