Meet Your 2021 Best Immigrant Entrepreneur Top 5 Finalists

March 22nd, 2021 in News & Announcements

It’s one thing to move to another country and start a new life. When you throw entrepreneurship into the mix, things get even more challenging.

Our Immigrant Entrepreneur Award recognizes the success and contributions of outstanding new Canadians who have started a successful business in British Columbia. This individual hasn’t just surmounted the challenges inherent in moving to a new country. They’ve also taken on the mantle of entrepreneurship, exhibiting leadership in their community, and within their business. The award is judged on the following criteria:

  • Overcoming Adversity: Individual has achieved success despite the challenges and barriers of being an immigrant in Canada.
  • Leadership: Showcases strong leadership through both business practices and involvement within the community he/she operates.
  • Track Record and Growth Plan: Business demonstrates a proven track record of financial success and is positioned for growth.

In 2020, High Beam Dreams clinched our Best Immigrant Entrepreneur prize for their efforts in creating an invaluable community space in Lower Gibsons that serves as one of the Sunshine Coast’s premier entertainment venues.
