What’s Happening in September 2019 at Small Business BC?

Can you believe it’s September already? As we bask in the final days of summer 2019, we’re also planning for a busy month at Small Business BC headlined by a packed calendar of education and events.

Mark your calendars for our monthly Waterfront Chats Meetup, taking place on Thursday, September 12th. This month, we’re hosting an engaging discussion on how to start a business that makes a social impact. Join our fireside chat and hear from Carla Heim, Senior Advisor for Social Entrepreneurship at BDC, and other small business owners. Don’t forget, there’s the usual opportunity to provide a quick pitch of your own business on the night.

Tri-Cities, we’re coming to visit! Alongside our partners at Envision Financial, we’re proud to present the latest in our Build. Grow. Thrive. series on September 25 at the Evergreen Cultural Centre in Coquitlam. This FREE day of education provides entrepreneurs with foundational skills they need to launch a successful business, delivered by expert industry professionals.

We’re also delighted to announce our 9th annual INSPIRE event on October 1 at Vancouver’s iconic Science World. This year, we’re discussing an issue of critical importance to us all – the steps business can take to assume a leadership role in climate action. Mingle with fellow entrepreneurs, hear from an expert panel, and join us to celebrate the launch of the Small Business BC Awards.
