What’s Happening in November 2019 at Small Business BC?

The holiday season is looming on the horizon. Before you start decking the halls or picking out a tree, November offers the perfect time to get your small business ready for the annual sales bonanza to come.

At Small Business BC, we’re cramming plenty of opportunities in for networking, learning and growing your small business in the coming weeks. From meetups, to education and award nominations. Here’s what’s happening at the station this month.

We’re kicking things off with some exciting news – we are hosting our first ever goals workshop! Starting on Thursday, November 7th, this four-week, interactive and hands-on group workshop is designed to help participants dedicate time to set goals, provide tools to develop targeted goals and define the action needed to achieve business goals. There’s limited capacity, so reserve your place today and don’t miss out.

On Tuesday, November 19th, join us at Waterfront Station for our monthly meetup. We’ll be hearing from Cory Carson, owner of Border Bee, and Max Vitali, International Trade Advisor at SBBC, as they discuss best practices in import/export and how to get your business ready for opportunities abroad. Make sure to practice your business pitch as each attendee will be given the opportunity to pitch their business.

Last but not least, nominations and voting for the Small Business BC Awards continue until November 30th. Nominate your business, or a business you love today. Don’t forget to vote for your favourites across our eight award categories. Stay tuned as we’ll be announcing the Top 10 Finalists in early December.
