What’s Happening in May 2020 at Small Business BC?

May has arrived, bringing sunnier days and more reasons to be positive! This month, COVID-19 remains top of mind for businesses across our province and we’ve been busy creating some resources to assist.

In April, we launched the B.C. Business COVID-19 Support Service. Produced in partnership with the Government of Canada and B.C. government, this one-stop resource connects businesses with the resources and guidance necessary to navigate challenges from COVID-19. As new announcements are made each day, we’ll be updating the website. There’s also a live chat and representatives standing by to take your call.

If you’re looking to grow your customer base, consider listing your business in our Small Business Marketplace. This free resource lists local businesses still operating through COVID-19. Listing your business is simple, and our team will publish to our website as soon as possible. Elsewhere, our Digital Meetups are continuing each week. Join these community discussions on topics relating to COVID-19 and small business. Hear from fellow business owners and experts during these lively chats.

In May, we’ll be hosting all of our usual education remotely via webinar. Our webinars are hosted through Adobe Connect. If you’ve never attended an Adobe Connect webinar before, there are some quick steps to take to ensure you’re ready to go when you access the webinar. For information on how to test your setup and prepare for the webinar, please visit our Adobe Connect Information Page.
