What’s Happening in April 2022 at Small Business BC

This April, we’re celebrating the best of BC’s entrepreneurial talent at the 19th Annual Small Business BC Awards. Join us on April 28th for our live virtual gala where we’ll crown this year’s winners of our Business Impact Award and our Premier’s People’s Choice Award. This month, we’re proud to launch several opportunities for small businesses to excel in areas like hiring, diversity and digital transformation. For starters, SmartMove can help you find employees by connecting your business with qualified newcomers to BC. Delivered in partnership with the Immigrant Services Society of BC, this new and exciting initiative supports you in filling labour gaps, improving employment prospects for job-ready newcomers, and foster the creation of diverse, inclusive and equitable workplaces.

Looking to take your business online? With the launch of the Canada Digital Adoption program, eligible businesses will receive a micro-grant of up to $2,400 to help with the costs related to adopting an e-commerce store. Register your interest today and be the first to get notified when the program launches in the coming weeks.
