Small Business BC Launches COVID-19 Support Service for B.C. Businesses

Across British Columbia, the impact of COVID-19 has proved dramatic and far reaching. As each day brings announcements and resources across multiple platforms, the need for a single point of contact for information has become clear.

A One-Stop COVID-19 Business Resource

Developed in partnership with the B.C. government and Government of Canada, the B.C. Business COVID-19 Support Service aims to serve as this focal point for businesses, acting as a one-stop resource to answer questions about supports available to businesses from the provincial and federal governments, industry and community partners.

The Support Service will be operated by Small Business BC and advisors are available Monday to Friday, from 8am to 6pm (Pacific time) and Saturday from 10am to 4pm at 1-833-254-4357. Inquiries can also be emailed to, or raised on our live-chat feature available at

The website will also contain a regularly updated knowledge centre with information on each program, announcements from industry and community partners, as well as a variety of practical resources. During this period, Small Business BC will continue to provide our usual services, such as access to expert business advisors, educational services, and free resources in the context of COVID-19.

“The immediate impacts of COVID-19 are being felt by businesses across the Province. This new support service will help businesses connect quickly with our existing programs and services, and also learn about the supports being provided by the federal and provincial governments.” Tom Conway, CEO, Small Business BC.

The B.C. Business Covid-19 Support Service is supported by the B.C. government and the Government of Canada through Western Economic Diversification Canada. As the situation evolves, both governments will continue to support businesses and take further action as needed.
